This is something that I have had since birth. It's called Synaesthesia and is a strange condition where the senses are entangled and overlap in the mind. It can also affect other parts that depend on sensory data, such as the part of the brain that deals with language.

People with this condition (synaesthesia) commonly see letters as being of various colors, see shapes when they hear sounds, or hear sounds when they are touched. The senses vary from one person to another. There are at least 62 types of Synaesthesia and I was diagnosed with all of them. They are tied in with my: emotions, flavors, sounds musical notes, odors, orgasms, pain, personalities, "auras", temperatures, time units, touch, personal identification, objects, taste, smell, temperature and many more things. You will find this in many artists and musicians.

As a genetic disorder, it is dominant on the X chromosome. This affects approximately 1 in 25,000 individuals up to 1 in every 100 million depending on how many types of Synaesthesia one has.

If you want to know if you have any synthaesia, just close your eyes and think of the number one. Does it have a color? Now, think of the number two, then three and four. What color are they? This can be used as a simple test to see if you are synaesthesic.

In addition to the name Amazing Benjamin, many people have asked, where did the phase "The Million Dollar Mind" come from. Listeners were calling in on the air and saying that he has such great accuracy with his readings that his mind must be worth a Million Dollars. From that point on, many listeners would call in and refer to him as "The Million Dollar Mind".
